Alumni Meet

Your presence makes a DIFFERENCE and your PRESENCE made a difference at Amrita School of Engineering, Bengaluru. On 27th Nov. 2021 Saturday #AMRITA took pride in hosting the 7th Alumni Meet- 2021-22 in a hybrid mode facilitating a few alumni to join online.

With the lighting of the lamp and a soulful rendition, Ms. Sreevidya. B, Assistant Professor (CSE) welcomed the gathering with a perfect blend of harmony & humor. Affable Alumni were aptly welcomed by the Faculty Coordinator for Amrita Alumni Chapter, Bengaluru, Dr. Supriya M., Associate Professor(CSE) and reminded of valuable lessons with emphasis on the importance of being humble by Dr. RSS Rao, the Vice Principal.

The event was meticulously planned with seamless registration process and distribution of a souvenir in addition to a nostalgic college trivia quiz conducted by the ever enthusiastic teachers doubled up as quiz masters to help the alumni relive a few moments of yore.  A collage of events as a video presentation made the alumnus reminiscence good old times at #amrita school of engineering, Bangalore. The meet and greet event by the HODs of EEE, ME, ECE  had the alumni of their respective departments come forward for an informal conversation thereby giving the gathering an insight into their past and present life.. The HODs urged the alumni to be a part of various initiatives taken by them. Furthermore, no Alumni meet is complete without the mention of astounding placements. Captain Sood, CIR Head from the placement department, spoke about students' contribution to AMRITA & CIR. There was a colorful cultural extravaganza by both the alumni and the students with Bharatanatyam dance by an alumna Anagha, energy laced group dance with Sai Sanath & group as also a melodious performance by Keerthi and Karthika. Highlight of the event was an impromptu literally down to earth lively discussion by the Principal, Dr. Sriram Devanathan with the alumni as a closing note to the event. He engaged them with ideas like #BUDDYSYSTEM and alumni mentoring, and extended a warm invitation to the alumni to be a part of any event that happens in the college. With the assurance that this bonding between the alumni and the alma mater would keep growing, the meet ended with a buffet lunch. The alumni later went around the campus, met their teachers and captured the moments to be carried as memories. With the promise to make the next & 8th Alumni meet at ASEB bigger & better, ALUMNI went back bringing about #change in the world. #teachers #students #engineering #event #mentoring #buddysystem
